This past weekend,
less than a year after being arrested (not charged) for breaking into my own house, my house was broken into. I am currently in New Jersey. This blows big time. Somehow, whoever did this managed to get in and leave casually taking a 47” television (among other things) with them. There, apparently, was rummaging involved also. Can’t wait to get back to Lubbock next week to deal with...

Unfortunately, this list only reflects what I play from my computer and not everything else from my iPod which is what I primarily use to play music. Therefore, it cannot be trusted. For instance: I have no idea when I listened to John Mayer in the last week.
Saturday night
I’m drinking wine, smoking a pipe and watching The Dreamers on IFC by myself. How the fuck did I get here?
WatchMy buddy Ryan and I were supposed to go see a country band, The Turnpike Troubadours, tonight. Instead, this happened. It’s not that bad though (the situation, not the storming and flooding). This was the first time it rained here since May.

Tonight
was the last night my summer friends and I hung out as summer friends. All three of them are leaving, two for three weeks, another for good. We played scrabble and drank. It was good. It was sad. Now comes two weeks of solitude and hopefully productivity. I’m pretty sure that will translate to sitting in front of the TV. Bah.

I can't decide
if I should stop shaving so I can start growing a somewhat badass beard in the next three weeks to go to the classes I’m teaching and be all “respect mah authoritah!” or whether I should just continue to shave since it’s hot as dicks here. What do you think internetz?
